NZ internet woes
Internet here works pretty well, except for the irritation of select sites being unavailable periodically. For whatever reason, Flickr, Yahoo (duh) and blogs under the Blogsmith Media platform (aka my fav car site, AutoBlog) are just unreachable sometimes, while other times they work fine. Various random others are unreachable as well, IMDB for instance, but luckily the rest work okay. Wikipedia is always up for me, thankfully.
If there’s a site I’m trying to access from a google search, I’ll just load the text-only cached version as it seems that ads and photos seem to be the roadblock. Since Flickr is being stubborn right now, no new pics uploaded there.
I suppose I can leave you with a teaser pic from our trip to the beach yesterday (yes, I’m working on my tan in December)

I’ve seen this behaviour. In my case it is due to a faulty router. Here’s what happens, while connected to AT&T I can’t access those same Sites you describe. I disconnect from AT&T, flush cache and it all works fine again.
I need to buy a new router. Dunno if this is your case, but might be worth giving it a try.

Thanks Esteban. I didn’t figure this was an NZ deficient network thing, but a local-small-town-guy who likes to rip people off setup the router, so something is not likely right with it.
