Hello from the beach
OK not quite. We’re done our two nights at the hotel and I never had my computer on the beach - in fact we were only on the beach for a few hours total. However, this picture is from our balcony looking over the beach
Of course when we are down here, it is hot as Hades. 110 degrees F Heat Index, so humid your sunglasses condensate as soon as you step outside, laying in the sun you might as well just slather butter instead of sun block…you get the picture. Hence why we only spent a few hours on the beach - on top of very high winds while we were out there, I got to chase the umbrella once.
The hotel had wireless internet when Kat was last here, but they took that away and you have to rent a small “Internet bridge” or whatever they call it for $5/day. That wouldn’t be so bad, except they don’t have enough for all the guests. Genius.
Oh, and if you want to take your complimentary continental breakfast somewhere other than the restaurant, forget it. If I was the one trying to get it (I was still asleep), I’d have just laughed and walked to the elevator with my plate of food - jerks.
Anyway, not quite the hassle free, sunny blue skies one expects on a “vacation.” I think next time I will just stay home and vegitate - that is so much more relaxing. Anyway, as we pack up from this Internet cafe (yes, had to find one) and head to my Grandfather’s house for a day and a half of overfeeding and pampering, I’ll leave you with this view from the hotel open hallway of the marshes & water ways just off the road. At least it’s beautiful out here
I don’t think I had mentioned yet, but I’m on Flickr now. Check out all my photos there

On my last vacation the PC stayed home as I headed down to the beach.
My hotel’s infrastructure sucked big time, yet it’s personnel made every effort to compensate with how they treated us. I had the most relaxing time in over two years.
Hope you can pull the plug enough to give your mind a good (and well deserved) rest.
