430rwhp with only a bumpstick

This is a dyno chart I came across on LS1GTO.com and if I ever get to modifying the Goat, this is probably the way I’ll go. This is from an LS2 6-speed with only long tube headers and a cam - cam specs below:

  • 230/232 degrees intake/exhaust at 0.050″ (lift not specified yet, new cam)
  • 111 degrees Lobe Separation

There are a few other cams that produce results like these, but this is definitely something I’d look for. Great driveability, 350 ft-lbs of torque at 2800rpm, and 430HP/397TQ peak - from a cam, long tube headers, and a tune only! Headers and a tune yield about 365-370 RWHP with 340-350 RWHP being stock for an LS2 6-speed, so this is quite the results from a cam only swap. Really just testament to how well the 243 casting heads flow, since they were used on the LS6 and again on the LS2.
