Nissan GT-R 3.8L Twin-Turbo V6 Assembly Video
This car is an amazing piece of machinery. Edmund’s recently flew to Japan to test-drive a customer’s car and get the first independent performance results out of it. With a sophisticated AWD system and 255/285 20" tires front/rear (respectively), this 3800 lb beast has tons of grip. This gives it an supercar 0-60 of 3.3s - faster than its nemesis the Porsche 911 and even the Corvette Z06. You too can achieve this time rather simply: engage the GT-R’s nifty launch control. With the brake and gas nailed to the floor, the GT-R will hold the engine’s revs at 4500 and just jump off the brake for several G’s of acceleration. Now granted it only beats the Z06 by a couple tenths of a second.
The quarter mile flies by in a little less shocking 11.6s at 120mph, but still incredibly fast. However it betrays the GT-R’s poor power to weight ratio, as the Z06 has trapped 10.98 at 129mph completely stock. It’s amazing what 3.2L and -700 lb can do for you.
